Analyst View:
This acquisition will expand company’s brand presence in the personal care category and will complement The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., brands which are already present in the Canadian market. Alba Botanica, JASON, and Avalon Organics are three organic brands of the Hain Celestial Group which already exist in the Canadian Market. This deal has increased the scale of operations of the company in Canada to more than USD 100 million in net sales. This acquisition will also provide huge opportunity to the company to expand its sales and cost efficiencies. The company will utilized its existing infrastructure in Canada and its manufacturing and research and development expertise in personal care. The acquisition of brand “The Live Clean” will establish a base for personal care products for the company. This will aid the foundation for the continued growth for the personal care brands and provide the company with an opportunity to expand the brand beyond the Canadian mass channel.
